Abstract

Inclusive education is an approach that emphasizes the importance of accessibility and quality education for all students, including those with special needs. This study aims to explore the implementation of inclusive education at IAI Al-Khairat Pamekasan, focusing on the challenges and opportunities present. The research method used is a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGD), involving students, lecturers, and campus management. The findings reveal that while there is support for inclusive education, many challenges remain. Among these are the limitations of physical facilities that are friendly to disabilities, insufficient training for lecturers to teach with an inclusive approach, and low awareness among students regarding the importance of inclusive education. The research also identifies that collaboration among all stakeholders students, lecturers, parents, and the community is key to creating a supportive educational environment for all students. Additionally, the development of clearer policies and programs that are responsive to student needs is essential for improving the quality of inclusive education. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for ongoing efforts and commitment from all parties to realize inclusive and quality education. With the right steps, it is hoped that inclusive education at IAI Al-Khairat Pamekasan can become a tangible practice that benefits all students, preparing them to face future challenges more effectively.
