Peer Review Policy
The editors and/or peer reviewers of Sabiluna: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Manajemenis will determine whether the work is comprehensible and whether it makes a useful contribution to the field in addition to evaluating the article's scientific validity and coherence. Sabiluna: Jurnal Pendidikan and Manajemen acknowledged the effort and suggestions made by its reviewers. An average of two reviewers examine each article in our journal.
Initial evaluation of manuscripts
The editor will first evaluate all manuscripts submitted. Although rare, it is entirely feasible for an exceptional manuscript to be accepted at this stage. Those rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, or are outside the aims and scope of Fikrotuna: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Manajemen Islam. Those that meet the minimum criteria are passed on to experts for review.
Types of peer review
The review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers and vice versa.
Two to three experts will typically review submitted manuscripts to determine whether they are clear enough for publication, are scientifically sound and coherent, and do not duplicate previously published works. Other rounds of review would be done should the first round be inadequate.
Review reports
Reviewers are asked to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Is original by stating the objectives and gap clearly.
- Is methodology sound?
- Follows appropriate ethical guidelines
- Has results or findings that are clearly presented and support the conclusions.
- Correctly reference previous relevant work.
- Reviewers are not expected to correct or copyedit manuscripts. Language correction is not part of the peer review process.
Decision
Reviewers advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article. The editors will reach a decision based on these reports, and, where necessary, they will consult with members of the editorial board. The editor's decision is final.
